Brief Biography:
Born in Mt Allan, Gabriella Possum is the older daughter of the renowned painter, Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri (now deceased), who taught her to paint. His influences are to be found in her work, yet she has created a style of her own. Her "dot" work is central to her paintings, although Gabriella uses many different techniques to achieve the desired effect. Gabriella depicts stories such as the Women Ceremonies, Bush Tucker (Black Seed and Exploding Seed from the Mt. Allan area), Goanna, Serpent and Seven Sisters Dreamings. Her paintings are vivid in colors and bold in composition.

Her works are highly collectable and without a doubt very decorative. Gabriella has exhibited all over Australia, in New York, London, Bern and many other cities world wide and has always found a grand reception. Gabriella attended Yirara College in Alice Springs and now lives in Melbourne with her husband and five children.
